New Name...Same Services!
Vortex Sensory Rehabilitation Center, LLC will begin doing business as Therapy Advantage, LLC. We have found our original name was cumbersome and difficult to remember. It is our hope that it will be easier for our clients and referring healthcare providers to remember this new name. We will be moving on May 1, 2009 to a new location in the Mesa’s historic district. The new location is only about 10 miles west of the old location. The new address will be 20 W. 1st St. Ste. 108, which is just west of Center on the North side of 1st St. This is an easy access from the US 60 or the 202 by taking the Country Club exit. Processing Disorders
Children or Adults with a processing disorder may do one or more of the following:
- Dislike being touched or hugged.
- Picky about the way their clothes feel.
- Are in constant motion.
- May not make eye contact.
- Constantly getting into things such as peanut butter, powdered sugar, make-up, flour, soap, paint, etc.
- May be quiet or withdrawn
- They participate in high-risk play such as jumping from extreme heights or climbing tall trees.
- They are accident prone, running into things or walls, they appear to not pay attention to where they are going.
- Teachers complain they do not listen or follow instructions.
- They do not make the transition to new activities well.
