I participated in the Individual Sensory Program in hopes of managing my stress and recurrent bouts of depression. At my 90 day evaluation I had the following improvements: My hearing seemed sharp and clear and I no longer experienced the anxiety when faced with brake lights and oncoming headlights when driving at night. I really do not notice a difference between my ability to drive at night vs during the day. My vision
seems more clear and I do not fatigue when I read in the evening like I used to do. I do not have the “tension” in my head that I used to have. I would get caught in “mental loops” and could not seem to move forward or change negative or stressful thinking. I still have those moments but find I am able to deal with them more quickly and move on. I have also gone off the anti-depressants I have taken for years, with my doctor’s approval.
I still have challenges but they are not as frequent and I am able to manage until the issues are resolved. My long time friends say that I have had monumental changes. Instead of dwelling on the negative things in life and being consumed by them, they now find me to be a positive, cheerful person. My life events are essentially the same; I have the same family, the same job, and essentially the same financial stability. What is new is my ability to process my world, to find solutions for problems and enjoy the life I have.

Andrea seemed to struggle with many things at school. She had trouble concentrating and focusing on teachers. Homework was also very hard and time consuming. Many nights consisted of crying and frustration. Andrea also seemed very sad and discouraged because she tried and tried but never seemed to be successful. She has had ADD inattention form. I have seen many improvements in Andrea (since completing the ISP). She is happier. She has more concentration and is getting her class work done and her homework. She still doesn’t like to read. She also seems to be more talkative and more interactive. She sees more of her world than she used to. She seems to have checked in to her life and is very happy. My 15 year old daughter Erica has had difficulty with reading and comprehension as well as other learning. She took the AIMS test and did not do well. Ten days into the Individualized Sensory Training Program she read a 30 page pamphlet while at the doctor’s office. She then proceeded to tell me all about the various leukemias, identification and treatments on the way home. Not only was reading the pamphlet a new behavior but remembering and understanding the concepts was a totally new experience. for her. We are thrilled with the results so far

My grown son has been suffering from anger and depression for many years.
He had been on many different medications. Some would work for a while but
he always had thoughts of suicide. Christmas times were the worst with
repeated calls to me in another state where he would threaten to take his
life. After completing the Individualized Sensory Program his life changed by 180
degrees. His demeanor is more positive. He jokes, which he has not done
for many years, and he has begun to participate in building family
relationships. Last Christmas was one of my best because his calls to me
were very happy and positive. The future looks good.

I am a kindergarten teacher and have been working with young children for
the last 13 years. I've seen a variety of children come into the classroom
and often find one, two or more that need some additional assistance. While
doing research I discovered many children have sensory issues which is often
mislabeled as ADD/ADHD. I have seen wonderful results from Therapy Advantage. Children begin to experience a sense of calm and are
often able to focus a bit better than before the treatment. Everyone is
different so some changes are quite subtle and may take time to be
recognize. I personally went through the treatment and did not think or recognize any
changes until I was in a conversation. I realized that my writing skills
improved considerably, my irritability over silly issues were significantly
reduced. I enjoyed many things such as peace and quiet more and could stay
focused for a longer period of time. Like I said, I did not notice these
changes until I began to discuss this treatment with others and had my "ah,
ha" moment.

As a result of an automobile accident 3 1/2 years ago, our son Brian 29, has a severe traumatic brain injury. We traveled from Chicago to Arizona so
that Brian could receive sensory rehabilitation at Therapy Advantage. There have
been many small improvements which is very exciting. We are anxious to see
what the future months will bring. Thank you Therapy Advantage and owner Dale
Moore for giving Brian your personal attention and our family new hope. We
will never give up.

I have had health problems most of my adult life. I had a bout with breast cancer and cervical cancer in 1979 and in 1991 I lost my sweetheart of 22 years while we were waiting for a heart donor to become available for transplant. After my sweetheart’s death, I became depressed and from that time on I have been on antidepressant medication to stay adrift.
In 2003 I had a stroke. Following my stroke, I found I had trouble getting around on my own. I had problems with balance and tended to drag my left foot. I had constant headaches, mood swings and developed narcolepsy along the way. I had great memory loss and was in pain most of the day. I have been on a lot of medication, 8-14 different ones at a time costing me up to $1000.00 per month. I had difficulty reaching over my head or reaching behind my back to do zippers. I had become very fatigued and unable to join in family or any activities. I cried very easily, sometimes without justifiable cause. I developed irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), vision problems, more memory problems and was unable to concentrate enough to even remember who I was talking to on the phone by the time I hung up. I didn’t read anymore because I did not have the focus and couldn’t understand what I was reading anyway. I developed osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia. These symptoms plus the extreme pain I was having forced me into early retirement from a job I loved.
I went through the 30 day program at Therapy Advantage. I started to notice improvement during the second week of treatment. I have finished my 30 days and feel like someone has opened the door and let the light into my life. I am now on 3 medications which have nothing to do with sleep or depression. I have no headaches and my pain level went from a 10+ to a 1 or 2 (since changes continue for up to nine months I think I have a good chance of the pain resolving further). My balance has improved and I rarely have problems with my left foot. I recently completed a one mile walk with AARP which I could never have done before. I can reach over my head and behind my back to do zippers. I have more energy than I know what to do with. I used to rest 2-3 times a day. Now I sometimes have to make myself stop what I am doing and go to bed. My memory is wonderful and my concentration is great. I can now read anything and understand what I read. I have no depression and have even signed up to do volunteer work for a couple of organizations. I can’t believe I am the same person I was before this program. It’s like getting a second chance at life and I am grateful for this opportunity.

Wyatt was diagnosed with ADHD after spending 10 minutes with a doctor. We have had different struggles with him from a very young age, but we do not want to medicate. We started treatments with a chiropractor and natural remedies. His chemicals in the brain showed up very low. Since the treatment at the Individual Sensory Program we are able to talk things through with Wyatt and he seems to be making better choices and thinks things all the way through. He has calmed down a bit. He still struggles with anger and gets easily frustrated. He is having a difficult time making friends and shows a lot of sadness and less ambition to be involved. He is more expressive and recalls things from his past. He is able to reason and accept things more easily with fewer melt downs, but is still very anxious and does not do well with change. He is a very bright child and is always planning a way to make money. He sees something he wants and figures out what it will take to earn it. He sensitive and very complex all wrapped into one.

My son Ryan was diagnosed with ADHD and psychotic disorder. Several harsh narcotics were used to stabilize his mood, so that he could function normally. After just the first week of therapy (Individualized Sensory Program) he had progressed so much that the meds were no longer necessary. Ryan now displays a greater calmness along with an improved listening ability beyond that of what the medication could provide him. I have a happier and more naturally balanced little boy again. Nothing short of a miracle.

My son Zachary was diagnosed with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder known as Asperger’s Disorder and ADHD. Since Zach’s session began, he has demonstrated a tremendous increase in awareness to his surroundings. His listening skills have increased three fold. He acknowledges me almost immediately, where previously I would have to call his name repeatedly. Zach can now sit down and focus on something as simple as a puzzle and enjoy it. He’s calmer, happier and more able to communicate his thoughts and feelings better. He is like a brand new boy!

I had a lot of emotional baggage and I couldn’t seem to move on with my life in relationships. I’ve always been a survivor and made it alone with my son, but things always have seemed a struggle. When I went through this program I expected a lightening bolt or earth shaking changes. It didn’t happen that way. It was in little ways of how I dealt with everyday life. One of the changes I saw was that I could handle problems with it not being a big deal. I woke up [and was] not agitated at myself for the past. I was grateful for my situation instead of frustrated. I am more pleasant with my son. I actually allowed a male gentleman to befriend me. In the past I wouldn’t let anyone get close to me because I felt I would get hurt but now I am willing to take those risks again and bring down those walls. I am willing to give love a chance. I was able to bring restoration with my older sons and ask their forgiveness for unknowingly putting them in a bad situation. I found myself having healthy boundaries and not enabling others and being a rescuer. I actually have a new appreciation and contentment in life and [I] am enjoying learning guitar and some new songs to sing for karaoke. I have a lot of talents that I’ve laid aside but now have more time and desire to devote to my own hobbies. I say that this program did help a lot and I appreciate what it has done in my life.
Thank-you again for this program.
